Cheli & Peacock Ltd is owned and operated by Stefano Cheli and Liz Peacock. The company started in 1985, and have been running it hands-on ever since.

Both safari guides and having grown up in Kenya, Liz & Stefano created the business to share safari in the wilderness with others. From 1985 Cheli & Peacock operated lavish private tented safaris with professional guides, often Stefano or Liz themselves. Camps were sent ahead and pitched on virgin sites, so when clients arrived the fire was going and the gin and tonics ready. The camps became more elaborate over the years from a Landrover and trailer for 6 people in the early days, to two 6ton lorries for 6 people! The company soon developed a reputation for professional service, outstanding food, attention to detail and that well worn phrase – “holidays of a lifetime”.

The Roberts and Dyer Families have amalgamated to put together some of the most outstanding experiences Kenya and the East African region has to offer. Three generations of both these families have lived in Kenya , pioneering a lifestyle based on farming, hunting, aviation and the hospitality industry. These families have witnessed many changes in the evolution of the region and in turn , customised their existence around a more responsible attitude to tourism, conservation and land use whilst showing our guests Africa in its original state of pristine wilderness and savouring the best it has to offer to the first time traveller as well as the old time friends and clients of many years – to show them something new and exciting every time they come back.

Operating from our head office in Nairobi, Kenya, we at Lets Go Travel, offer a choice of over 200 Safaris in East Africa. We also have information on over 450 Lodges, Hotels and other types of accommodation.

Africa Travel Co. is one of the best established overland companies in Africa and is completely African based. We operate a fleet of specially built safari vehicles, in ten eastern and southern African countries, and each year sees us introduce new and innovative itineraries.

We started in 1990 with one office in Harare, Zimbabwe, and after 18 years of hard work and commitment and with a professional approach, we now have operation and retail offices backed by maintenance centres in Nairobi (Kenya) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), while our head office and main workshop is in Cape Town (South Africa).
