Naboisho Conservancy

History / Background

Naboisho is Maa language for coming together. The name was chosen by community elders as the true description of the partnership context desired. It was established in March 28th, 2010.
The highest population of giraffe is found in Naibisho.

Location and Size

Naboisho is located immediately north of Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is 20km from Talek Village, 36 km from Aitong village, 10kn from Nkoilale village market, 90km from Narok town and 260km from Nairobi.
The total area covered is 20,628Ha (518 land parcels)

Accessibility

Naboisho Conservancy is 260 kms from Nairobi by road – a 4 hour journey.

Accommodation

There are several places to stay. The operating camps are Basecamp Wilderness camp and Basecamp Dorobo Camp.
