Motorogi Conservancy is an area of 12,000 acres and adjoins the 21,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy and the two are managed as one unit of 33,000 acres with 5 safari companies operating exclusively in the 2 conservancies: Gamewatchers Safaris with Porini Lion Camp (10 tents), Great Plains with Mara Plains Camp (7 tents), Kicheche with Kicheche Bush Camp (6 tents), while Virgin are planning to develop a 12 tent camp in the near future and Olare Camp is about to open with 12 tents.
The two conservancies have a strict limit on vehicle numbers and tourist camps with a maximum of 1 tent allowed per 700 acres and a maximum of 12 tents per camp, following the same maximum density formula which applies in Naboisho and Ol Kinyei.
