One of the biggest threats to Kenya's lion population is "human-wildlife conflict" when lions move out of parks and kill livestock at night, resulting in retaliation by the Maasai herdsmen. A new idea has been developed by a Maasai teenager to deter lions from attacking livestock at night as shown in this video narrated by Paula Kahumbu of Wildlife Direct. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnXbRO3CcTQ&feature=youtu.beLion Lights smoothed-H264 for PC playback.movwww.youtube.com13 year old Kenyan innovator Richard Turere saves endangered lions with his lion lights invention
