Black Leopard Retreat is located in the Olderekesi Private Wildlife Conservancy outside the Maasai Mra Reserve border to the south east.
The landscape is extremely charming with lush vegetation, sweeping vistas, and grassy hills. 1600 meters high, malaria free with no need for vaccination.
Access
Black Leopard is aacessed by schedule flight, one hour to Keekorok airstrip or charters to Cottars private airstrip (light aircraft only) – transfers to and from both airfields included. The drive between Keekorok airstrip and our camp varies between one and a half to two hours; we cut through the Sand River during the dry season or drive round through the Mara Reserve’s Sand River Gate bridge, either way promises pleasant game viewing en-route. Cottars Private Airstrip on the other hand is only a 30minunite drive away from camp. Driving from Nairobi takes between five and six hours through Narok town, our nearest access Masai Mara Reserve gate is the ‘Olemutia gate’. Only 4×4 vehicles can drive all the way to our camp or carry out game drives in this terrain.
Accommodation
Black Leopard has 7 Luxury double tents set on raised polished wooden decks and 2 Safari Villas (family tents; 2 bedrooms ensuite, can sleep up to 4). All tents are en suite, with wc, 24-hour running hot and cold water.

Food
Mediterranean food made is savory. The camp serves good Italian, South African and French wines.
