Mpata Safari Club sits high on the edge of the Oloololo escarpment with panoramic views across the Maasai Mara Plains, adjoining the Maasai Mara National Reserve, i.e.,“Kingdom of Wild Life in East Africa”. It set in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area, bordering the Masai Mara Game Reserve, at the foot of the Aitong Hills.
The lodge is positioned on an ox-bow of the Mara River, with a splendid view of the hippo-filled waters. It is surrounded by well-cultivated gardens dotted with indigenous trees.
The Mara Safari Club is only 5 hours drive from Nairobi, 45 minute flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) and 10-minute drive from Ngerende Airstrip.
Accommodation
23 separate cottages well spaced along the top of the Oloololo escarpment offering panoramic views of adjoining Maasai Mara.
There are 11 suite and 12 deluxe rooms, each with interlocking curves that separate the bedroom and bathroom before opening to the enticing veranda.
With emphasis on comfort and a unique combination of interior design, the suite rooms have a sitting room, kitchenette and, best of all, an outdoor Jacuzzi.
Rooms are supplied with 220/240 volts AC.
Plugs in use are the 3-square pin.
Food
All means prepared at our club are of Nouvelle Cuisine based on recipes by Kiyomi Mikuni, one of the world’s greatest chefs and a founder member of Mpata Club. Breakfast has English flavor; lunch and dinner are more formal. The club has a vegetable farm within the compound and directly transfers the fresh vegetable grown by organic agriculture to the clients table on a diary basis, all complemented by fine wines and unparalleled views.
