Mara Timbo is located in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve where there is abundance of animal and birdlife in the vast savannah. The camp is ideally situated in the most untamed environment below the Oloololo escarpment directly in a loop of Mara River with a panoramic view of two breeding herds of hippos and basking crocodiles. The camp is set up on a part of a big 50 acres plot. The camp is accessible by road and by air in only 40 minutes flight from Nairobi Wilson airport.
Accommodation
7 spacious and luxurious tents with tastefully decorated interiors, warm blends of colour and unique furnishings. All materials are natural and from the area, so the camp fits perfectly into the African environment. The facilities in the tent include a king-size bed, a safe deposit for your valuables, enough space for placing the clothing’s, a bathroom with double sinks, hot and cold shower, flush toilet, 220/240volt power supply and amenities for use by the guests.

The camp’s chef has vast experience in gourmet cuisine in best hotels of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania ensuring that guests look forward to each and every meal. All meals are Table D’Hote but the camp is flexible to meet other special requests for dietary requirements. The cuisine is internationally oriented and specialized in Italian, Asian and African meals.
