The Governors’ Private Camp is situated in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, in a wooded section of the park on the Mara River that attracts lots of wildlife and birds. From Governors’ you can see the wild animals come to drink from the river, in short, a prime location. There is no electricity available in the safari camp, so in the evening the whole atmosphere and romantically lit by gas lamps and candles. This breathes the atmosphere of an old hunting camp, where elephants and hippos walking through at night, grazing.
Accommodation
8 luxurious, spacious tents, all with an ensuite bathroom with a bucket shower, and a private verandah with authentic furniture.
There is no electricity in the tents but at night there is sufficient light of the paraffin and gas lamps, creating a special atmosphere. In the morning, guests wake up with a coffee and tea, during which time the freshly baked breads and breakfast prepared. In the evening the tents in style lit with gas lanterns and candles, which contributes to a unique African ambience.
Food
The food is excellent and the service is very high. Dine in the dining room or outside around the campfire. Possibly a bush picnic or barbecue are provided.
